Jagoda and Zuzia are friends from the neighborhood. Their everyday life seems ordinary – school, playing in the yard, eating ice cream, sleepovers – yet so much changes every day. The girls talk a lot – about themselves, their imaginations, the future, boys, friends, teachers, parents. Biology, hormones, pimples, first rebellion, first love. When will the first period come? Will there be others after it? The heroines introduce us to the world of girls, which younger viewers will discover and older ones will remember. A universal story for intergenerational viewing. The film idea was developed as part of the “LEAP INTO DOC. Laboratory of Documentary Ideas” program and premiered at the Millennium Docs Against Gravity 2023 festival.
Themes in the film: friendship, girls’ maturation, closeness, first period
