Aonghas – A Wish for the Waves
dir. Dòmhnall Eòghainn MacKinnon, Great Britain 2022, 14 min., 10+, film with Polish voiceover
Aonghas lives in Scotland and regularly explores tidal pools located near his home. He searches for marine creatures – large and small, strange and wonderful. Sea lemons, sea slugs, and bristle worms: these have already been discovered by him. “At first, you only see stones, sand, and seaweed, but behind them, there are many creatures hiding.” On the rugged and beautiful Isle of Skye, Aonghas has already found all the small marine creatures he could, and he’s very good at it. Now he wants to find an even more elusive new friend: an octopus. He sets out with a fisherman into the sea in search of the eight-armed wondrous creature.
