Applications for the “School with Climate for…” project are open only until October 4th!
Make a film about the climate in your school and showcase it on the big screen! Schools can apply to participate in the “School with Climate for…” project only until Friday, October 4th. The project includes a series of workshops for students and teachers, organized by the Wajda Film Centre.
The workshops will result in short video pieces showcasing the “climate” of the school – its atmosphere and mood. The films will be screened during the third edition of the LET’S DOC festival and published on the ► VOD Warszawa platform. “School with Climate for…” is part of the ► Klimatyczna Mapa Szkół project.
Workshops for Students
We are mapping Warsaw schools and examining them through the lens of film. During a series of workshops with filmmakers, students will create their own documentary shorts about the climate within their schools. They will go through every stage of film production: from scriptwriting, shooting, and editing, to the premiere of their film in a cinema during the LET’S DOC festival and online on the vod.warszawa.pl platform. Additionally, workshop participants will receive passes allowing them to attend all festival screenings for free.
Workshops for Teachers
The goal of the sessions is to encourage teachers to use short films in their school practice. Each meeting will consist of a film studies segment and a workshop that incorporates elements of psychoeducation, art education, values education, and civic education (depending on the chosen theme). The films presented during the sessions, which teachers can later work with in the classroom, will be made available to them for free on the vod.warszawa.pl platform.
