LYNX AWARD YOUNG DOCS 14+ at the LET’S DOC 2023 Festival

Camila, an actress from an affluent background, feels unprepared for the upcoming role she is to play – a 15-year-old pregnant girl from the suburbs of Santo Domingo. She decides to meet with pregnant young girls in search of inspiration. The group of teenagers candidly shares their reality on camera and their experience of being mothers. Their relationships gradually influence the film production, taking it into uncharted territory. The film won the main award in the Generation 14+ section of the Berlinale 2023 film festival.

Themes in the film: teenage pregnancy, coming of age, parent-child relationships, credibility in art-making, personal stories. The film contains strong language and addresses themes of parental violence and sexuality.
