Who Owns Our Stories? 14+
27 March 2025 (Thursday) 9:00-10:30 and 11:00-12:30
Elementary: Grade VIII High Schools: Grades I-IV
We invite you to a workshop inspired by the film “A History of the World According to Getty Images” directed by Richard Misek, dedicated to the creative use of public domain resources. Participants will learn about copyright principles and how to make use of works available in the public domain.
Together, we will reflect on what the lack of access to archives with significant historical materials means for us. Who has the right to these stories? What are the consequences when such rights are controlled by corporations? The workshop will help participants understand the importance of open access to culture and knowledge, while encouraging conscious use of its vast resources.
