Animadocs and Anime 14+
March 25, 2025 (Tuesday) 9:00-10:30 and 11:00-12:30
Primary Schools: Grade VIII
Secondary Schools: Grades I-IV
We invite you to a workshop inspired by the film “My Land” directed by Tabarak Allah Abbas, where we will explore animadocs—animated documentary films. Animadocs are often used to tackle difficult, abstract, or deeply personal topics that are challenging to portray in traditional formats. Animation allows for the creation of distance or metaphorical imagery, blending factual storytelling with artistic interpretation.
We will discuss why filmmakers use animation in documentaries and collaborate to create our own animated documentary in the style of anime.
